Inspired by ‘Yakisugi’, a Japanese method of wood preservation using fire.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eThe orientation and form of this bowl is chosen to highlight some beautiful grain and the rim thickness is on the absolute limit of what is possible for Yakisugi.
