Vessel made from Beech

Size - D 14cm x H 16.6cm 

Finish - Tung Oil and Waxes

Sourced from a large tree which was felled in 2020 in our woodland. The tree was unfortunately on the decline and had to be taken down for safety reasons. When trees are taken down this way I feel compelled to really make the most of the wood.

The fine and muted grain brings more attention to the form of this piece but the subtleties within are no less delightful.

The base a small amount of flamed beech (darker brown and red) and some dappled markings can be seen above.

Please note this is has a different finish to some of the other beech vessels. Here I’ve chosen a slightly darker and richer look.

The last image shows a plate in the same wood and finish which could make a good pairing. The plate will be put next door to this listing.
