A new shape with simple lines and sharp angles, set off the surface with a small foot.

A beautiful example of some very clean ash. More often than not there is natural staining within the material that I acquire from our woodland. These bits are perfect for my yakisugi projects but when it comes this clean it’s an obvious choice to leave it natural. 

I have tried to accurately capture the tones and colours of this piece. As you will see, in different orientations to the light the grain appears either quite light or a shade darker and warmer.
